Admission will be strictly on merit through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) to be conducted at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Patna on 1 May 2011.
Interested candidates may apply along with a Demand Draft of Rs.2,500/- (Rupees two thousand five hundred only) for General Candidates, Rs.1,000/- (Rupees one thousand only) in case of SC,ST and Person with Disability (PD) drawn in favour of “REGISTRAR, NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, DELHI", payable at Delhi alongwith copies of requisite Caste/PD Certificate. There is no application fee for Below Poverty Line (BPL) applicants of SC/ST category (copy of BPL certificate from competent authority to be enclosed with application). Applications complete in all respects must reach in person or by post, to the REGISTRAR, NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, DELHI, Sector - 14, Dwarka, New Delhi - 110078, on or before 11 April 2011 16th April 2011. Applications received after the last date shall not be entertained. The University will not be responsible for any postal/courier delay

- Duration of the Examination: 1 hour 30 minutes

- (Current Affairs, General Science, History, Geography, Economics, Civics)Legal Aptitude : 35 Marks
- Reasoning : 35Marks
- Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability) : 10Marks
AILET Previous Question Papers Booklet can be collected by depositing cash of Rs.500/- (2008-2010) from the office of the National Law University, Delhi or by sending a DD of Rs.550/- in favour of “Registrar, National Law University, Delhi” payable at Delhi.

Note:
(i)The candidate shall secure minimum of 40% (30% for SC and ST candidates) of the total marks in the AILET to become eligible for the admission. The University reserves the right to keep the seats vacant if there are no candidates who secured minimum cut off marks.
(ii)If two or more candidates secure the same percentage of marks in the AILET, their merit will be determined in the following manner and order; (1) On the basis of Percentage of marks in the Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) / Higher Secondary School or its equivalent recognized by the University (2) On the basis of Percentage of marks in the X standard (3) Elder in age will be preferred (4) Draw of Lots.
(iii)At least 30% of the total seats shall be filled by eligible horizontal reservation for women candidates including those selected in reserved and foreign national categories.
