Admission Procedure for Academic Year 2011 - 2012 (B.A. LL.B AND B.B.A. LL.B)
- Please read and understand the entire instructions before you proceed for registration.
- It is mandatory to appear for the SET 2011 (Symbiosis Entrance Test) for admission to SLS.
- For seeking Admission to the Symbiosis Law School, Pune students should adopt the following procedure:-
- The applicant must register online for Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET 2011). For details please visit www.set-test.org.
- Applicant shall receive the prospectus from SIU only.
- For mode of payment please see www.set-test.org
- In addition, applicant has to fill up an online application form at the website of the SLS, Pune that is www.symlaw.ac.in, by paying Rs. 1000/-, without which he/she will not be shortlisted for GDPI.
- The payment for this can be made online by credit card along with the payment of SET 2011 registration OR by forwarding a Demand Draft in favor of “Director, Symbiosis Law School” payable at Pune, to the Institute OR by paying through credit card at the time of online application to the institute OR through Net Banking (account details are available on the Application form)
- In case payment is made by Demand Draft, then please mention your name and the SET ID number on the back of the Demand Draft.
Selection Procedure:
Selection will be done in two phases:
- Candidates will be short listed on the basis of the SET 2011 score.
- The short listed candidates will be invited for Group Discussion and Personal interview in Symbiosis Law School Pune, Symbiosis International University Noida Campus and Symbiosis International University Bangalore Campus, based on Candidate’s preference of location (provided there is a minimum of 50 candidates.) In such case of non availability of any location, these candidates will be invited for GDPI in Pune.
- Specific dates & Centers will be announced against the names of candidates shortlisted for GDPI.
- Final Merit list shall be drawn on the basis of both.

Eligibility For B.A. and B.B.A. LL.B.:
- The candidate should have passed 12th (10+2) examination from any recognized Board with minimum 50% marks (45% for S.C. /S.T. students) in one attempt ( No compartment). Students who have appeared for their H.S.C. finals and awaiting results are also eligible to apply subject to submission of passing certificate by the announced date.
- Age Limit: Candidate should be less than 20 years of age at the time of appearing for the SET, as on 07 May 2011 (2 years relaxation for SC/ST candidate).
- Applicants who have obtained 10+2 through Open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification are not eligible for the Law Course.
Intake Limit – The total intake is 250 seats (inclusive of 180 seats of B.B.A.LL.B and 70 seats of B.A.LL.B).
Reservation of seats: Within the sanctioned intake limit.
- Scheduled Caste: 15%
- Scheduled Tribe: 7.5%
- Differently abled: 3%
- Wards of Serving/Retired Defense personnel: 5%
Over & Above sanctioned intake :
- Kashmiri Migrants: - 2 seats per programme.
- International students: - 15 % of total intake (Including PIO and NRI).
Fee Structure:
- B.A.LL.B - Rs. 1, 20, 000/- per annum. (Including caution deposit – Rs. 5000)
- B.B.A.LL.B. - Rs. 1, 20,000/- per annum (Including caution deposit – Rs. 5000)
