All candidates are informed that the CLAT 2013 Patiala Test Centre has been changed.
This is to notify the candidates whose Application Forms had been rejected by the Clat Office that the Committee has granted permission for such candidates to appear for the Exam on 12th May 2013. Such candidates must submit a notarized Affidavit of Rs50 and submit to the CLAT Office before 6th May 2013. They must also mail a soft copy to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The CLAT 2013 Exam notifications have been released by the Convener of CLAT 2013. The candidates can see the complete information regarding the exam, the eligibility criteria and form filling process on: www.clat.ac.in. The date of the exam is 12th May, 2013. The exam will be conducted for admissions in UG and PG courses at NLIU –Bhopal, NLU – Jodhpur, NLSIU – Bangalore, WBNUJS – Kolkata, NALSAR – Hyderabad, HNLU – Raipur, RGNUL – Patiala, GNLU – Gandhinagar, CNLU – Patna, RMLNLU – Lucknow, NLUO – Orissa, NUALS – Kochi, NLUJA – Assam and NUSRL – Ranchi.
The CLAT 2013 Application Forms will be however, released on 15th January, 2013. The candidates can complete the form filling process online as well as offline.
The candidates should see the eligibility criteria for the exam and participating NLUs before applying for the exam. The candidates who satisfy all the conditions of CLAT 2013 Eligibility will be considered for exam and further admission process.
The CLAT 2013 Eligibility Criteria requires the candidate to:
- Have obtained an Intermediate / 10+2 / Senior Secondary School or any other equivalent certificate issued by a recognized Board.
- Have obtained at least 45% aggregate marks to be eligible as per CLAT 2013 Eligibility Criteria.
- The minimum aggregate marks for the SC and ST category candidates are 40%.
- Be not more than 20 years old on the 1st of July, 2013.
- The age limit for the SC and ST category candidates is 22 years as per the CLAT 2013 Eligibility Criteria norms.
The aspirants who have taken the exam or are taking the exam in 2013 are also allowed to take exam. The admission of such candidates will be however, depending on the submission of their results at the time of admission.
CLAT 2013 Exam Pattern
The exam will be of 200 marks in total with 200 multiple choice questions of one mark each. The duration of exam will be 2 hours and there will be 5 sections in the exam.
CLAT 2013 Exam Pattern outlines the following sections of the exam:
- Current Affairs or General Knowledge: 50 Marks
- Comprehension in English: 40 Marks
- Numerical Ability or Elementary Mathematics: 20 Marks
- Logical Reasoning: 40 Marks
- Legal Aptitude: 50 Marks
As per the CLAT 2013 Exam Pattern, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrongly answered question.
CLAT 2013 Application Form
The CLAT 2013 Application Form will be released on 15th of January, 2013. The candidates can obtain the forms at the designated bank branches of SBI and all the participating NLUs for Rs. 3000/-. The SC and ST candidates have to however, pay Rs. 2500/- if they submit the proof of belonging to the reserved category.
However, the CLAT 2013 Application Form from the participating NLUs can be obtained after making the payment through DD or Cash. The DD should be drawn in the favor of the Registrars of the participating NLUs.
A request letter bearing the details of candidate’s Father’s Name, detailed Mailing Address along with Pin Code and contact numbers can also be sent via Registered Post / Speed Post to obtain the CLAT 2013 Application Form and Information Brochure to the following address:

To obtain the CLAT 2013 Application Form via post, the SC/ST candidates have to send a DD of Rs. 2600 and candidates of all the other categories have to send a DD of Rs. 3100/- in favor of “Registrar, HNLU – CLAT 2013 A/C” which must be payable at Raipur (Chhattisgarh).
This form fee will include an additional Rs.100/- for sending of the form and brochure via the Speed / Registered Post.
Another method of filling the form is to complete the process ONLINE as per the given form filling instructions at: www.clat.ac.in. The candidates who are filling the Online CLAT 2013 Application Form have to remit the fee via Credit / Debit Card or Net Banking.
After filling the OMR Application Form and remitting the fee, the candidates have to send the form and DD or Challan or transaction receipt to The Converner, CLAT 2013 either via post or in person till 30th March, 2013 at 5.00 pm.
