CLAT 2011 (Common Law Admission Test)

About Exam (CLAT 2011):
Common Law Admission Test 2011-UG (CLAT 2011) is an All India level admission test for admission to BA LLB programs of national law universities throughout the country. CLAT 2011 is the most important exam for the candidates who want to pursue law as a career. Every year a very large number of students appear for CLAT 2011and the competition to get in the National Law Universities is quite tough.

CLAT started as a need to have a common admission test for all the national law universities so that candidates are saved from the expenses and inconvenience of appearing in several entrance exams for different law universities. CLAT 2011 is conducted by one of the National Law Universities every year based on a rotational policy and the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences(NUJS), Kolkata, will conduct the CLAT 2011. There are 11 national law universities in which admission is through CLAT 2011.

Reservation of seats :

  • Open for all states
  • For  NRIs few seats are reserved  ( Actual no. of seats will be decided by the university at the time of admission )
  • Eligibility : 10+2 , 50% (5% relaxation for sc/st/obc) , Above 20 years of age students cannot apply

Date of Exam (CLAT 2011):

The CLAT 2011 is scheduled to be held on May 15, 2011.

Availability of CLAT 2011 Information Brochure and Application form

  • The Brochure along with OMR Application Form will be sold at Rs. 150/- from different post offices throughout India and at the eleven National Law Universities.
  • Request for OMR Application Form along with Brochure can also be made by sending a Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque/ Pay order of Rs. 200/- in favour of “WBNUJS-CLAT A/C” payable at Kolkata to Convenor, Common Law Admission Test, CLAT-2011, The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences. Dr. Ambedkar Bhawan, 12, L.B. Block, Sector – III, Salt Lake City, Kolkata – 700 098.

Mode of Applying for CLAT 2011

Duly filled OMR application form along with Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque/ Pay order of Rs. 2500/- (Rs. 2000/- for SC/ST candidates) in favour of “WBNUJS-CLAT A/C”, payable at Kolkata and necessary documents as mentioned in the OMR application form and on CLAT website (www.clat.ac.in) can be submitted from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on all working days and upto 5:00 p.m. on 2 April 2011 to the Convenor, CLAT-2011 either in person or sent through registered post to the below mentioned address so as to reach on or before 2 April 2011.

> CLAT is a exam name , its a Combined Law Aptitude test for National Law Schools in India.
> NLU provides a 5 year degree like BALLB .
> Now a days students get good offer from various corporates during there final year of LLB.
> There are only few colleges provide LLB degree after graduation.
