Admission to the LL.B (3 Years-Professional) in study of the University of Jammu, Jammu / Campuses / Affiliated Colleges:
It is notified for the information of all concerned that the admission to various Programmes of study of the University of Jammu, Jammu / Campuses/ Affiliated Colleges for the Academic Session 2011-12, shall be made on the basis of an Entrance Test likely to be held after the termination of annual Part III examination of B.A/B.Sc/B.Com/BBA/BCA (Regular 2010-11) of the University of Jammu.
Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET 2011) For The Academic Session 2011-12 are as:
LL.B (3 Years-Professional).
There shall be 70 objective type questions carrying one (1) mark each for each subject/programme: 60 questions of the concerned subject/programme within the notified syllabus and 10 questions on Logic and Reasoning.
Candidates can apply for appearing in the Entrance Test of a maximum of 5 Programmes. The duration for each paper shall be 75 minutes (ie. One hour and fifteen minutes). The examination shall be spread over 11 days. There shall be 4 subject specific tests on each day spread over two shifts. The schedule shall be as follows:
- Shift One
Paper I (10:00 to 11:15 hrs IST)
Paper II (12:00 to 13:15 hrs IST) - Shift Two
Paper III (14:00 to 15:15 hrs IST)
Paper IV (16:00 to 17:15 hrs IST)
Every wrong answer shall be awarded minus (-) 0.33 marks. The candidate is required to obtain a minimum of 21 marks out of 70 questions for each subject/programme for general category candidates and 17 marks out of 70 for candidates belonging to SC/ST/ST (residents of Leh & Kargil) category to be considered for admission.
Centres for Examinations: There shall be following Centres for conduct of Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET 2011):
i. Bhaderwah, ii. Jammu, iii. Kathua, iv. Leh, v. Poonch, vi. Rajouri, vii. Reasi, viii. Srinagar, ix. Udhampur.
The University reserves the right to cancel any of the above Centre/s without assigning any reason and the candidates shall be provided the nearest Centre in that case.
Fee for the Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET 2011) to be charged from each candidate shall be as follows:
- Opting for one programme Rs. 450/-
- Opting for two programmes Rs. 550/-
- Opting for three programmes Rs. 650/-
- Opting for four programmes Rs. 800/-
- Opting for five programmes Rs. 950/-
Candidates need not enclose any document/certificate alongwith the application form at the time of applying for Jammu University Entrance Test. Certificates/documents shall be submitted only at the time of applying to the concerned Department of the University for which a separate notification shall be issued after the declaration of Jammu University Entrance Test result.
