In 1975, with the initiative of the Chairman of Board of Management K.L.E., famous Educationist, Philanthropist, a Social worker, Late Shri. Chidanand Baavprabhu Kore has established B.V.Bellad Law College, Belgaum. The college campus is situated in the heart of Belgaum city with other sister concern of K.L.E. Society popularly called as “Lingaraj Campus”. The College has enriched Library and also organized workshops, seminars etc., regularly to the interest of its stakeholders. The College is established as H.O. for the Law Academy and also conducting “InfoTech Law Course” for public at large. Recently, the College in association with KLE University, Belgaum has introduced one year P. G. Diploma in Cyber Law and Law & Medicine courses.

Students are trained to argue in a Moot courts regularly in the College by way of Interclass Competitions and also by encouraging the students to participate in various State/National/International Moot Court Competitions
Court, Central Jail & Police Station Visits
As a part of co-curricular activities students and staff use to visit Police Station, Courts and Central Jail to understand administrative procedures therein.

Lectures from the Expert and Legal Luminaries are organized in the College as a part of personality development of the students.
Legal Aid Cell
The college used to organize Legal surveys at various places in which students spread the legal awareness among the public and try to summaries the legal problems of the society. Also through this cell free legal aid is provided to the public.
Human Rights Club
By way of this club, College spreads human rights awareness among the students, trains them to find out human rights violations happening around them and advise the victim of human rights violation about his rights.
