CLAT 2012 (Common Law Admission Test)

Common Law Admission Test 2011-UG (CLAT 2012) is an All India level admission test for admission to BA LLB programs of national law universities throughout the country. CLAT 2012 is the most important exam for the candidates who want to pursue law as a career. Every year a very large number of students appear for CLAT 2012 and the competition to get in the National Law Universities is quite tough.

CLAT started as a need to have a common admission test for all the national law universities so that candidates are saved from the expenses and inconvenience of appearing in several entrance exams for different law universities. CLAT 2012 is conducted by one of the National Law Universities every year based on a rotational policy and the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences(NUJS), Kolkata, will conduct the CLAT 2012. There are 11 national law universities in which admission is through CLAT 2012.

Reservation of seats :

Open for all states
For NRIs few seats are reserved ( Actual no. of seats will be decided by the university at the time of admission )
Eligibility : 10+2 , 50% (5% relaxation for sc/st/obc) , Above 20 years of age students cannot apply

Important Dates

* Issue of application forms of CLAT :- 2nd January, 2012 (Monday)
* Last Date for submission of filled-in application forms:- 31st March 2012 (Saturday)
* Issue of Hall Tickets:- Up to 14th April 2012 (Saturday)
* Date of CLAT 2012:- 13th May 2012 (Sunday) from 03:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
