The ICFAI University, Uttarakhand, a non-profit University, was established by the the ICFAI University Act, 2003 (Act No 16 of 2003) and duly recognised by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956.
Sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI), a non-profit educational society established in 1984 under the Andhra Pradesh (Telang ana Area) Public Societies Registration Act, 1350 F (Act No.1 of 1350F), the University aims at creating and disseminating knowledge and skills in core and frontier areas through innovative educational programs, research, consulting and publishing, and developing a new cadre of professionals with a high level of competence and deep sense of ethics and commitment to the code of professional conduct.
The ICFAI Law School, Dehradun commenced with the first batch of five year integrated BBA LLB programme, in 2004, with due approval and recognition by the Bar Council Of India.

Eligibility:-
Have passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) system or an equivalent examination thereto securing in the aggregate not less than 50% of the total marks.

Admission Procedure for candidates appearing in ILSAT 2010
Admission to the BBA. LLB (Hons.) Program is through ILSAT 2010 conducted by ILS, Dehradun.
The Admission Test is based on objective type questions in multiple choice format. The answers have to be given in the specially designed OMR answer sheet, which will be provided at the time of admission test. There will be 150 questions in all, divided into five sections of 30 marks each. These sections are English Language, General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude, Numerical Ability and Reasoning as per the sample test.
Admission Procedure for candidates applying based on Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2010
Students may also be admitted to the program based on their score in CLAT 2010 conducted by the NLIU,Bhopal.
Candidates applying for admission on the basis of CLAT 2010 are not required to write ILSAT 2010. However, they may also appear both ILSAT 2010 and CLAT 2010, in order to enhance the chance of getting admission in ILS, Dehradun.Admission to the law school is through ICFAI Law School Admission Test (ILSAT), conducted in centres all over India.
