
The Institute of Law has set up in the year 2007 with a vision to meet the ever increasing demand of new and innovative Legal Education in the State of Gujarat and to set high standards in the field of Legal Education to make Institute of Law a centre of Excellence in the legal education of India.
Welcome to this modern temple of learning which aims at providing quality legal education and all round development of its students. The Institute of Law offers five years integrated Programme B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), proposed B.Com. LL.B.(Hons) and Proposed LL.M.(Business Law) from the next academic year 2010. Legal study requires multidisciplinary approach. A deep insight into the subject requires proper study of the Historical, Political and Social perspectives of development of law which is focused in the curriculum of the B.A. L. L B. (Hons.) Course. The proposed B.Com. LL.B (Hons) programme focuses on imparting practical knowledge to budding lawyers to face the challenges of legal issues of business world in the changing scenario. The Institute aspires to impart practical training to budding legal professionals and thus helping the society to create valuable and responsible citizens.

Course Offered
Five-Year integrated Program in BA-LLB (Hons) / Proposed B.Com. LLB (Hons).The Institute also proposes to start B.Com. LL.B.(Hons).
Admission criteria
- A candidate should have passed Higher Secondary/intermediate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examinations with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
- Age of the candidate should not be more than 20 years on 1st July, 2011.
- The prospective candidates who are interested to have admission in the Institute of Law, Nirma University(ILNU), required to appear in the Common Admission Test(CLAT 2011), to be conducted by WBNJUS, Kolkata on 15th May 2011. For details, refer www.clat.ac.in . The interested candidates should also fill up the application form of the Institute of Law Nirma University. The last date for submission of filled form of CLAT, 2011 is 2nd April, 2011. The Candidates are also required to fill in the application form of Institute of Law, Nirma University. Candidates who have appeared in CLAT 2011 and also applied in Institute of Law, Nirma University will be considered for admission based on inter se merit of CLAT 2011.
