K.L.E. Society’s S.A. Manvi Law College was established in the year 1974, with a vision to provide legal education to this part of Gadag in the state of Karnataka. It was the effort of Late Shri Gangadharappa S Manvi a well known philanthropist, a social worker, who has donated to the society and therefore college is named after his grandfather Siddramappa Andanappa Manvi.

S. A. Manvi Law College is a premier institution imparting education in the Faculty of Law in this part of Karnataka, has started by the prestigious K.L.E. Society as an evening college to cater to the needs of the people of this area.  The college is situated in the semi urban place and is useful for the students most of whom are coming from the rural area.  It is the only Law College in the entire district of Gadag. The inaugural function of the college was taken place on 15th August 1974 by Mr. Nataraj Murthy, Honorable Civil Judge, Gadag.

The college got the affiliation from Karnatak University, Dharwad from the academic year 1974-1975.  The college has fulfilled the conditions imposed by the University from time to time.  The results of which the permanent affiliation that the college enjoyed from 1994-95 in respect of Three-year Law Course.  The college has the credit of being listed in U.G.C. under sections 2(f) and 12 (b) of U.G.C. Act and receiving grants from the U.G.C. under its schemes.  The college has been approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. The college has been accredited at ‘B’ level by NAAC in November 2004.

The college has utmost pride to mention that our students have achieved as many as eight ranks to the Karnatak University, Dharwad including 8 Gold Medals to the University out of which three students have secured first rank in the final LL.B. examinations.  

The first Principal of the College, Late Shri. T.F. Pawadshettar, Senior Advocate of Gadag, has set the track of the college on a smooth and right path of development and the same is being carried over by the present Principal V.M.Shetti.

The Gadag city is surrounded by the places engulfed with rich cultural heritage like Badami, Aiholi, Pattadakallu, Hampi, Lakkundi, etc.  Famous temples like Veeranarayana, Trikoteshwara, Jagadguru Tontadarya Math and Panchakshara Gawai’s Ashrama for blind are located in this city.

Housed in a calm and quiet area of Gadag, the College provides both 3 year Law course and 5 year Law course.

The college is situated in the heart of the city with 32 acres of the campus with spacious playground, hostel facilities, well equipped Library and experienced teaching staff. The college has adopted a village Kalasapur and turned it into Litigation Free Village. It conducts regular Legal Awareness Camps at surrounding villages, apart from the community services like Blood Donation, Eradication of Polio, Aids Awareness Programme etc. N.S.S Unit, Free Legal Consultancy Cell, Grievance Redressal Cell are established.

HOSTEL FACILITY :
Hostel facility is provided in the K.L.E. Society’s J.T. College Boys Hostel, Gadag, located in our campus. It has got a beautiful garden. Mess facility is available in the hostel. The rooms are quite spacious and ventilated.

INTERNET FACILITY :
Computers are connected with Internet facility and are available for the benefit of Students and Staff.

FREE LEGAL CONSULTANCY CELL :
This Cell is working at our College for the benefit of the public.

please advise us whether my wife she can complete her studies ,she left the studies in between after first semester of LLB (Gadag)at present she in K.S.A
