
Introduction
Law College Dehradun was founded in the year 2002 with the aim of providing quality education in law. We pioneered the five year B.A.LL.B. integrated degree course in Uttarakhand.His Excellency Shri Surjeet Singh Barnala the then Governor of Uttarakhand inaugurated the college in a graceful ceremony. The other dignitaries present on the occasion were, Dr.Ramesh Pokhriya 'Nishank',the present chief Minister of the State of Mr. Aggrawal Vice President, Bar council of India, Mr. Suryakant Dhasmana and other distinguished people from various fields.
Shri Barnala hoped that the College will live up to the expectation of the students-community, parents and the society at large.
Inaugurating the Law College Dehradun on 8th October, 2002, His Excellency Shri Surjit Singh Barnala, the then Governor of Uttarakhand complimented the students on choosing the law degree courses and said... "There is still need for good lawyers."
In eight years time we have redeemed our pledge to make Law College Dehradun the premier college of the region.The college attracts students from all over the country. Our faculty are the alumni of prestigious Law schools of the country as well as distinguished Law professionals .The admission to the courses is done purely on merit. Reservations in admission are adhered to as per university norms and state govt. norms.

Courses Offered
Under Graduate Course
1. B.A LL.B 5 year integrated Degree Course (240 seats)
Eligibility:-
The applicant should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination. Should have secured minimum 45% of marks in case of general categories of applicants and 40% marks in case of SC/ST applicants.
Maximum age for seeking admission to this course is twenty year in case of General Category of applicants and twenty two years in case of applicants from SC/ST and other Backward communities.
2. LL.B. 3 year degree course (160 seats)
Eligibility:-
A student after passing the graduation examination of this university or any Indian university incorporated by the law for the time being in force or any other examination recognized by the university with at least 45% of marks in case of general categories of applicants and 40% marks in case of SC/ST applicants on the basis of merit shall be eligible for admission to LL.B First Semester of the 3-year Law Course.
Post Graduate Course:-
- LL.M.(30 seats)
Eligibility:-
Three years or Five years Degree in Law with minimum 55% marks .
Admission Procedure
- Admission on merit, Computed on the basis of marks secured in qualifying Examination.
- A Candidate can also take admission on the basis of LSAT 2011 score.
