University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES) is India's First Energy University and Asia's First & Only Energy & Core Sector University. UPES offers over 35 graduate, post graduate and doctoral programs to more than 3900 students in the high growth sectors of Oil & Gas, Power, Aviation, Shipping, Automobile, Infrastructure and Logistics & Supply Chain. A statutory university established at Dehradun through an act the State Legislature of Uttarakhand in the year 2003, UPES started with a 25 acres mother campus in Pondha valley, Dehradun. With rapid internationalisation of Indian Energy sector companies, a host of JV, Mergers & Acquisitions happening, the need for specialized legal professionals who understand both the functional aspects of the Energy business and behold keen legal acumen is greatly felt by most Energy companies.UPES’s integrated 5 year program in Energy Laws is the first of its kind of program in the whole of South Asia. Approved by Bar Council of India, it is currently being offered only at Dehradun under College of Legal Studies. The program, designed with active participation of the Industry, seeks to equip students with both academic and application skills.

Minimum 50% Marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th)
Admission Criteria:-
Admission is based on UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test (UL-SAT) followed by Group Discussion & Interview
